4-5 SS Smokey Canyon

 I can think of 1 million reasons to attend a sportsman’s show like the one recently held in Portland, Oregon but I’ll give you a specific reason. I ran across Ryan Merritt at the Portland outdoors show and talked to him a little bit  about his outfitting service Smoky Canyon Outfitters. Talk about all kinds of things to do.  “We operate on a forest service and BLM permit in the states of Idaho and Wyoming. We start the year with bears, go into antelope, deer, elk, moose and then we do a lot of lion hunting on the eastern side of Idaho. In the summertime we offer trail rides down in the St. Charles Canyon area by Minnetonka Cave, we do a lot of families and family reunions, we offer fully guided hunts and also offer drop camp, scenic trail rides, fishing trips… fishing what venue? Float trips that we run over on the Wyoming side on the Salt River. We also do snowmobile trail rides in the wintertime.
