2-15 IAN February's Water

The Natural Resources Conservation Service released February’s Water Supply Report indicating late-January storms enhanced the water supply outlook for this summer. I excitedly called one of their scientists, Jeff Anderson, to get a report and ended up having a little fun. Jeff answered, I said how you doing, he said okay, and we pick up the conversation from there. “My guess is that you should be doing very okay given the press release that says that the weather in January improved the snowpack. Yeah that’s true. Give me the specifics. Actually this phone is at a desk where I had my lap top bite it a couple of weeks ago so I am working at the next cubicle over so I don’t have any computer screens in front of me at this station, let me call you right back, okay let me give you that number, xxx-xxxx, okay I’ll call you right back.  Snow survey, this is Phil. Phil? Jeff Anderson  was supposed to answer. Yet we have the phones transferred all around the room so let me transfer you back to where he actually is. Okay.

( Ring)  okay I think you probably have me now. Well I hope so. Laughter, it’s complicated. The desk I am sitting at is somebody who doesn’t work for us anymore. It was a tech who lost his job due to budget cuts. He lost his job due to budget cuts because there was nothing to do because there was no snow or precipitation. Laughter.
