1-3 SS New Year
So here it is, January 2012. It’s a new year and with the New Year’s Eve celebration behind us, what are sportsmen and sportswomen looking forward to doing? New Year’s Eve ushered in a new look at life but guess what? With all of the presents delivered to friends, family and acquaintances, with all of the New Year’s cheer partaken, with New Year’s resolutions firmly in place, what do you think is 1st and foremost on the minds of Northwest outdoors men? Is it losing pounds… drinking less… working harder… going to church more often… being kinder to others? Well perhaps, and I hope but the assistant manager of Sportsman’s Warehouse in Boise says the 1st thing on most sportsmen’s minds is getting licenses. Listen to a conversation I had with her: “Right now I’m going to have to call you back because I am stacked to the hilt because I’m selling licensing for 2012 and that is my hot item of the day. Everybody is coming in and getting ready for the new year, they all go hunting so they all come in and take care of that stuff.” Well for my part here on Sportsman’s Spotlight, may I wish you all a happy new year, and I guess as important as anything else, the very best of luck in the outdoors with your new fishing and/or hunting licenses.
