Inauguration Dinner
What was one of the more popular foods at President Bush's inauguration festivities? I'm Jeff Keane and I'll be right back with the answer.
What was one of the more popular items at the inauguration dinner? ---You know it was beef. Remember, this is the American Rancher program. I usually don't talk about chicken, fish, or tofu. I kind of shudder just saying tofu. The beef served was prime rib roast, 1,200 pounds of it. Ranch Foods Direct of Colorado Springs, Colorado shipped the beef to Washington D.C. to be enjoyed at the White House.
Chef Max Hansen prepared the prime rib and served it with his Max and Me Catering crew. Chef Hansen said the beef was a hot item referring to its popularity with the political staff, Secret Service, and Washington D.C. metro-police. He appreciated the fact the beef was U.S. produced and raised, and fed naturally. His catering company, of course, uses the best quality items he can find so the chef uses 90% to 95% American raised and produced products. Seems to me that's one more reason for Country of Origin Labeling. Mike Callicrate, owner of Ranch Foods Direct, says all their beef is from high quality cattle raised with no hormones, no sub therapeutic antibiotics, and fed natural rations free of animal byproducts.
So, if you're not catering say the Vegetarian Garden Raiding Olympics, take a tip from the President, Vice-President, and Chef Max Hansen and serve American natural beef if you want to please everyone at the party. I'm Jeff Keane.
