Hopping Mad
I know in the vegan world it would be considered a serious offense, but when I read about the vegan magazine caught using doctored photos of real meat dishes in order to pass them off as tantalizing vegan dishes in their photo spreads I couldn’t help it, I laughed out loud. Vegan activists are hopping mad with moral indignation to find out this brazen act of dishonesty has actually been going on for years. Come on guys, did you really think tofu spare ribs could look that good! But, in order to be fair to vegans everywhere, I admit it would tend to irritate and anger me too if I had been duped in such a manner; especially since I happen to be one of those people who likes using photos of recipes I’m trying out for the first time to see if my culinary efforts match. The vegan magazine guilty of this despicable photo tampering has responded to their readers’ outrage over the photo controversy by stating that “publishing a print magazine is tricky, and that tracking down vegan stock photography portraying appetizing vegan dishes is next to impossible”. Pardon me while I attempt to once again control a strong desire to laugh.
