WCA rollover auction tomorrow will benefit Japanese

Washington Ag Today March 22, 2011 The Washington Cattlemen’s Association has come up with a way to raise funds to help the earthquake and tsunami stricken Japanese people. Association executive vice president Jack Field explains.

Field: “Jim Sizemore, a past president of the Washington Cattlemen’s Association and his family, are going to be donating a commercial replacement heifer that will be rolled over and auctioned prior to our WCA bull sale Wednesday March 23rd at Bonina Sale Facility. The proceeds from the heifer sale are going to go to earthquake relief efforts for those victims in Japan.”

Field expects the rollover sale to be between 12:45 to one o’clock tomorrow at the Bonina facility in Eltopia. If you want more information you can call Jack Field at 509-929-1711.

Now the Stockland Livestock Report.

“This is Jack McQuiness here at Stockland Livestock here in Davenport. Ended up with a nice run of cattle, 12-hundred in the house and auction and 500 on the video. Timm Ranch cattle 620 pounds steers going out at $1.45. Steers weighting 735, two loads of those at $1.37.50. Feeder market fully steady. Most of the cow-calf pairs bringing 14-hundred up to a top of 18-hundred. Great sale. We sell cattle every Monday. You can watch us live on the internet on CattleUSA.com or go to our website Stockland Livestock. Thanks for listening.

Thanks Jack.
