3-1 IAN Organic Funding
Better hurry, the feds are trying to help you with some grant money. I’m David Sparks and I’ll be right back with that story.
Applications are being accepted by the Idaho Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) from Idaho organic producers and those transitioning to organic production who carry out conservation practices consistent with an organic system plan. Applications are due to NRCS by March 4.
Here’s Idaho Natural Resources Conservation Service spokesperson Alexis Collins. “Conservation funding available for organic producers in IdahoIt’s some special funding for organic producers the 2008 farm bill set aside special funding just to get more organic producers help and this is the third year we’ve done it trying to get more folks signed up but it’s a group of producers we haven’t worked a whole lot with or they haven’t worked a whole lot with us so were trying to get the information out to get more organic producers help with doing conservation work on their land.”
