2-23 IAN Senator Heider

2-23 IAN Senator Heider

Words from a State Senator…do they match up with campaign rhetoric? We’ve all heard it…the stumping, the campaign promises, the almost evangelical messages delivered behind speakers podiums as would-be politicians run for office. About two years ago we all got an earful of Obama delivering us from the forces of evil and leading us into the Garden of Eden. Well, so far we know how that turned out.

Senator Lee Heider from District 24 has been elected. So what he says now is not an attempt to get the job…he has the job in the Eastern half of Twin Falls County and it’s heavily agricultural. We caught up with him the other day at a Farm Bureau function: “We have a representative government and I represent the people of my District, the farmers the ranchers, all those who live in Twin Falls County. I hope that it means that I interact with them. Get their opinions about things that affect their lives and I can be a Representative for them find out what affects their businesses, their growth, their livliehood.”

Somehow Senator Heider sounds like one of us…Honest Abe type of guy.
