Les Schwab and Beef

Les Schwab and Beef

Hey everybody, here’s your 20 point toss-up, so take a deep breath and put on your thinking cap. …the question in a minute. I’m back and here’s the question: What does a radial tire have to do with a boneless rib-eye? Answer. Well rather than me tell you outright, listen in on a conversation: “Based on tire purchase, quantities of 2 or 4, for 2 tires you’d get $7.50 worth of free beef or you get $15 worth of free beef for a set of 4."

That was one of the guys answering the phone at Les Schwab Tires on 13th and  Jefferson in Boise. I just called him up and asked why they ran that promotion in February and his answer is exactly what we need more of in this country: “Been doing this for 30 years now plus, it was a way that Les wanted to honor the cattlemen and ranchers in the Northwest so it’s all locally purchased stuff.”

You know we are always talking about agtivism here on our web site aginfo.net and Lord knows ranchers and cattlemen are up to their necks with enviro-lawyers from non-profit law firms trying to stop them from grazing their cattle on public lands. A little help from a tire salesman named Les Schwab who deservedly wears a cowboy hat in his advertising.
