Wild horse roundup in Nevada makes sense if you don’t let your emotions get in the way. It’s so funny how perception can get in the way of common logic. Here’s an example. Everybody loves birds. How about pigeons, otherwise called doves with their gentle cooing and, unlike humans, they mate for life. Isn’t that sweet. They roost in nooks and crannies of homes, they are dirty and diseased and if they aren’t exterminated they multiply until your whole house is covered in you know what.

 Horses. Everybody loves horses. A lot of us grew up with Roy Rogers and Trigger…The Lone Range and Silver. Western movies, cowboys, the West. Mr. Ed was smarte than his owner. But wild horses are being rounded up from public and private lands in northern Nevada via helicopter herding and the protestors are raising the dickens because they say it’s unnecessary and inhumane. BLM Wild Horse and Burro Specialist Steve Leonard says that wild herds double every 4 years “if they’re not gathered up, they will decimate the environment.”
