Merry Christmas & 2010

Merry Christmas & 2010

Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran and for those of you who are celebrating it, Merry Christmas! I hope you have all received big hugs from those you love and are enjoying your holiday to its fullest. Now, I am looking forward to the New Year not so much the New Year’s celebration but 2010 itself.

I for one am so thankful for the efforts those in the wine industry working to shed the reputation that has burdened it for years. The intimation that wine is this big mystery and should only be enjoyed on special occasions and only by those knowledgeable enough to appreciate it, is disgusting to me. Translation – snobs. I have always preferred the European model that teaches us something more. It projects that drinking wine is as much a part of everyday life as anything else – and although ordinary in its everyday concept - it does not deter from the appreciation of this gift of nature and the art form exhibited in making it. In 2010, I plan to spend more of my time teaching about wine and getting to know wines that unfamiliar to me. Visit our website at Ag Info dot net or email me at Linda at Vine to wine dot net and let us know what you are interested in hearing about. We appreciate your feedback. From all of us here at Vine to Wine, to all of you, have a very Merry Christmas! We are looking oh so forward to hearing from you in the weeks and months to come.  And thanks for joining me on today’s Vine to Wine.
