Traveling with Food & Wine Part 2

Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran. You know the vacation season is upon us and yesterday we began discussing traveling with food & wine in mind.
Today whenever we plan a trip or vacation we head straight to the internet to gather information about wherever it is that hope to visit. So I logged into my internet search engine and started perusing websites. Now if you have had it with the value of the dollar in Europe and are thinking about staying in the United States consider visiting Washington Wine Country. Don’t be fooled by all of that Seattle stuff with its raining until after the fourth of July, because across the mountains in wine country we are already dining out of doors! If you arrive at the Seattle airport just hop the next small jet for a quick forty-five minute trip to the Pasco airport in the Tri-Cities and rent a car. Visit the Washington Wine Commission website, the Yakima Valley Wineries website and Walla Walla Wine news which, is a great website for one of our favorite wine country areas. If you have a chance to stay in the Tri-Cities I recommend a hotel on the River in Richland like the Marriott or the Hampton Inn. If you are interested in heading north a few hours you might consider the Lake Chelan area, it is up and coming and definitely worth the effort. Seek out information at the Lake Chelan Wine Valley dot come. Join me tomorrow as we discuss more of my domestic wine country travel favorites and thanks for joining me on today’s Vine to Wine.
