New Favorite

Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran. As many of you know my new favorite wine is usually the wine that is in my glass at the time. Well lately I have been drinking a good deal of red wines from Washington and today I have a favorite winery to tell about.

Yes, it is nice to have a collection of wines that you can look at and remember when you bought them and why.  So for me, when I finally open them a few years, or maybe just a few days later, I have some sense of excitement and anticipation. I was attending a wine Auction and I was so excited because I had won some magnums of Walla Walla Vintners wine. Walla Walla Vintners as the name implies, is a winery from Walla Walla Washington. In the past I have bragged about their great Sangiovese. Well since I had a couple of magnums of their wines I decided to revisit a few of the regular sized bottles in my collection. What did I discover you may ask? Well it wasn’t much of a shock to me but the wines were even better than I had remembered. The Cabernet Franc is a gem, it has a beautiful balance of acidity that I love when accompanying food. Now the Cabernet Sauvignon is great with food so don’t get me wrong when I say that it is so yummy all by itself that I find it totally satisfying. Walla Walla Vintners consistently receives great press and in my book it is well deserved. Visit their website to make a purchase or to find a retailer close to you. Remember to send your wine questions to Linda at vine to wine dot net and thank you for joining me on today’s Vine to Wine.
