Fickle Mother Nature
Mother Nature can be a fickle lady, and there’s not much to do to change her mind. I’m Jeff Keane. I’ll be back after this quick commercial to talk about living with her whims.Mother Nature can be a very pleasant lady to work with, having a soft, giving demeanor or she can be a disagreeable, cackling, old gal when she decides to deviate from normal weather conditions. So what do you do when your daily routine places you right in the front lines of her sweet charm or nasty fits? Well, you just whine and moan when she is upset and throwing you a curve ball, then grin and praise her for good times, and if you really analyze the total gallery of her work you’re grateful for not being bored with the same weather day after day. But like I say, you just have to work with that sweet lady, so while we are a little concerned about the uncovered ground at this time of year, we don’t have cold, snowy or rainy days, so we have been given the chance to ride and train young colts before spring work starts. I guess we’ll do that and hope for more moisture later on. What else can we do? That lady is too strong willed to change
