The popularity and growth of the PBR ( Professional Bull Riders Association ) has introduced a new audience to the sport of bull riding, yet unlike baseball or football much of this fan base is unaware of the legends that made the sport what it is today. I'm Jeff Keane stay tuned and I'll be back to tell you about a new bull riding movie that could help rectify that. The PBR, was founded in 1992 to make rodeos favorite event a stand alone sport so many new fans are unaware of it's history, isn't that right Susan? Thanks to a movie that recently debuted at the National Cowboy Museum called the Challenge of Champions that might change. Challenge of Champions covers the dual between Lane Frost and the great bull Red Rock. Lane was one of rodeos revered athletes whose life ended in an arena at the Cheyenne Frontier Days in 1989 at age 25. He became a rodeo legend in 1988 when he challenged the famous bull Red Rock to a seven match series, and I'm not telling you the outcome&you will just have to buy the documentary DVD. I know you can find it at bullpen agazine.com for $24.50. Jeff, that would make a great Christmas present for rodeo and bull riding fans. The film has some outstanding footage and interviews. I have also heard that the sound track is exceptional with songs like "Red Rock" by the Smokin Armadillos. In the end, a great tribute to someone all new PBR fans should honor, rodeo legend Lane Frost. I'm Jeff Keane.
