Labor Conference. I'm Greg Martin with today's Fruit Grower Report.
If you have questions regarding the labor issues that face all ag producers here in the state you will want to attend the Washington Farm Bureau 2008 Employer Services Labor Conference.
FAZIO: On Monday the 17th we have the 4th Annual Farm Bureau Labor Conference. It's over at Wenatchee at the Wenatchee Convention Center and we've got just a super line up. Everything from immigration reform down to the state issues.
That's Dan Fazio with Washington State Farm Bureau.
FAZIO: We've got people from the Department of Homeland Securities, we've got folks from the Office of Special Council of the Department of Justice to talk about the no-match letters as well as people from the Social Security Administration to give us their take on this whole I-9 no-match situation. People from California to talk about how they do it down there and of course a whole bevy of state people. It should be a lot of fun and informative for employers.
This will be a meeting that may help answer a lot of your questions and issues, so who can attend?
FAZIO: Farm Bureau members, members of the Washington State Horticulture Association, members of the Yakima Growers and Shippers Association. It's $25 for members and that includes everything from the meal to the post convention reception and everyone should just call in to the Farm Bureau at 800-331-3276 to register. That's 800-331-3276 or go online to the Farm Bureau web site wsfb.com.
