10/29/08 4-H inductees

Nine long time 4-H volunteers have been inducted into the Idaho 4-H Hall of Fame. It happened last weekend at the annual statewide leaders' forum in Salmon. Like the prior 114 inductees these seven individuals and one couple have had an impact on young people's lives says Mary Jean Craig at the state 4-H office in Moscow. CRAIG "They all talked about how it was for the youth and the reward that they received was seeing the youth develop and seeing the growth and the things that those youth are doing." And so we add our tip of the hat to inductees Joan Parr of Cassia County. There's Gay Willis of Bonneville County, a 4-H leader since 1979. Janice Bosse has 40 years with 4-H to her credit. Eileen Bennett of Clark County has served 4-H for 25 years. Canyon County's Helen Larson has devoted 48 years and as club leader she worked with 959 youth. Ken and Claudia Brush of Canyon County have supported educational opportunities in 4-H for two decades. Wallace Brown of Twin Falls County volunteered his time and efforts for 31 years. And Barbara DeShon of Bonneville County opened her 4-H door for 38 years. Today's Idaho Ag News Bill Scott
