What's the Cattlemen's Beef Board doing with all those Beef Checkoff dollars? Well, there is an easy way to find out. I'm Jeff Keane; I'll be back in one minute to tell you about it. The Beef Checkoff generates a large amount of dollars that are managed by the Cattlemen's Beef Board. A lot of producers wonder where the money goes and if it has positive results promoting beef. Well, the Cattlemen's Beef Board would like everyone to know just how those Beef Checkoff dollars are spent and what the results of those investments are. To accomplish this accounting, the Beef Board has set up a new Website  www.mybeefcheckoff.com. Richard Nielson, a Utah cow calf producer and chair of the producer communication committee for the CBB says the new site is interactive, well-organized and very user friendly. Nielson also says the CBB hopes the new site will give producers the knowledge to educate their neighbors about the checkoff. The new site includes easy access to CBB members and staff, expanded state beef council information and access, monthly e-newsletter sign up, producer profiles from all across the country and links to all checkoff-funded consumer and industry sites. Now, I'm not a major Internet user but a lot of people do exercise their fingers checking out websites so I think this is a good route for the Beef Board to take.
