Science is such a fickle beast. Remember when eggs were a complete no, no; bad cholesterol versus good cholesterol. Eggs are now considered okay 3 to 4 times a week. So it comes as no surprise that coffee is once again under the microscope. Coffee has for quite a while now been the bad boy in the caffeine line up. But suddenly, coffee is being viewed in a whole new light. For years long term coffee drinking was considered a sure fired way to find yourself in the fast lane for early demise. While caffeine and pregnancy are still not a good mix, now, according to a new study, long term coffee drinking may actually reduce a person's chance of heart disease. In fact, coffee may offer some other long term benefits as well. Studies suggest that coffee is a great source of antioxidants which protect against molecules that can damage cells which could lead to cancer and other illness. For now coffee seems to have been exonerated. So go ahead, have that second cup of java, it just may save your life.
