Anyone who has been around the sport of rodeo knows that injuries happen and since 1989 the Justin Boot Company has helped rodeo families cope with them. Here's Susan Allen to tell you about the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund. Jeff, to date over three hundred individuals and their families have received financial aid to cope with catastrophic injuries obtained during their rodeo careers. Typically it's the bull riders like Chuck Simonson from Montana that have been the recipient of over sixty five percent of the millions awarded. In 1989 at Caldwell Idaho, a bull wreck paralyzed the cowboy from the waste down. The Crisis Fund provided Chuck with leg braces that allow him some mobility and a truck with hand controls. Jeff, the beauty of the Crisis Fund is that one hundred percent of all contributions end up with the injured cowboys and cowgirls because the Justin Boot Company and the PRCA underwrite all administrative costs. This year the Cowboy Crisis Fund hit the five point five million dollar mark thanks in part to the fact that Justin's George Strait boot collection donated a portion of each boot sale to it. So if you need a new cowboy boots why not choose a pair that help America's icon, the cowboy, get back on his feet . I'm Jeff Keane.
