Estate Planning for Horses
TLC for Horses Most responsible people have their financial and medical affairs in order in case of a crisis but how many of our estate plans include care for our animals? The UC Davis school of Veterinary medicine has come up with a novel way to provide for horses that outlive their owners. Here's Susan. Through their estate plans owners can establish a fund with the school that will provide not only a permanent loving home but a life time of medical care for horses or companion animals. So after an examination and a registration fee the owner pledges the appropriate lifetime care estate gift. That's quite the concept; including your horse in estate planning.
