04/18/08 What to buy

Just when you think you know what you are buying along comes another designation. I'm Jeff Keane; I'll be back in one minute to explain. It can get down right confusing trying to buy products that used to be simple to purchase. What ever happened to large, medium and small? Please tell me which is better, improved or enhanced and does that make the original totally worthless? It might even be handy to have the "Total Jean Dictionary" with you next time you need to buy a new pair of jeans. Let's see do you need original fit, relaxed fit, boot cut, cargo, stretch, straight leg, prewashed, or stone washed. Now, can you buy your same size in all those choices? At least there's one type I don't get confused about or need to think about looking at slim fit. Wait a minute; you might not even need to buy a new pair of jeans if your old ones only have holes in them. You're right in style. Of course, that's only if you really don't work in them. Otherwise, you might actually need a new pair to keep the field dirt or cow and horse refuse from filling your boots to the tops. Hay and straw sliding down your leg can be real annoying also, not to mention the fact that a spring breeze can be down right cold whistling through your jeans. While I'm on this soapbox, I might as well mention saddle blankets and pads. There are so many perfect ones that will dry and cool my horse's back while letting my saddle just float on him that I get so excited I just have to buy one. Only trouble is, by the time I find out it works I can't even find it to buy again. I'm Jeff Keane.
