Lowering Cholesterol & New Fuel Card. I'm Greg Martin with today's Northwest Report. A USDA study is among the latest to show the benefits of a fish oil compound in fighting bad cholesterol in adult males. USDA Researcher Darshan Kelley explains the need to promote research into a fish oil compound believed to lower forms of bad blood cholesterol. KELLEY: And there's really no adverse effect even at relatively high concentrations so I do think we need to make awareness that these are very effective alternate means of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. The National Biodiesel Foundation wants to help truckers find biodiesel and save money when they purchase the fuel. They're doing that with the BioTrucker Fuel Card. The card not only highlights the availability of biodiesel - but truckers and fleets pay cash price on all fuel and no fuel transaction fee for biodiesel at in-network truck stops. Some stops are even offering a discount at the pump for cardholders. The in-network list - currently 149 truck stops - will grow as additional truck stops sell biodiesel and accept the BioTrucker Fuel Card. The card is also accepted at 49-hundred truck accessible retail stations. To sign up for the card - truckers and fleets can visit www.biotrucker.com. Now here's today's Washington Grange Report. (GRANGE) That's today's Northwest Report. I'm Greg Martin on the Northwest Ag Information Network.
