Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran and today is the day we discuss wine and travel, exploring places to go with wine in mind. We will spend today exploring a special venue with food and wine in mind.
As most of you know, I live in Washington state wine country and I love it. When we feel the need to visit a metropolitan area, it is convenient to both Seattle and Portland. But if we don't have that much time we can always get away to one of the smaller towns in wine country. Even a day trip or over just one night can be oh so relaxing. Recently we headed out to visit a small town named Prosser in Washington. You listeners on the east coast may have read about it in one of your wine publications. It is a small town in the heart of wine country that boasts some of the most established and famous wineries in Washington, along with some very new up and coming wineries. Many of us enjoy staying at a Bed & Breakfast. Well Prosser has one that is absolutely amazing! Those stunning accommodations are in the Desert Wind Winery. There are four rooms, actually suites and they are so plush. They boast very thick walls so you can crank up the surround sound and not even bother anyone. To top it off the winery has an amazing restaurant and the breakfast is to die for. They also make a delicate little sparkling Pinot Gris don't bother diluting it with orange juice. When you visit be sure to tell Carlos I said hello! Remember to send your wine questions to Linda at vine to wine dot net and thanks for joining me on today's Vine to Wine.
