On yesterdays program we talked about buying and selling horses on the internet. I'm Jeff Keane and I'll be right back with some thoughts. If you are in the horse business 2008 just might be time to spring for that personal web site or update the old one. Whether your focus is cattle or horses a well designed personal web page could be the ticket to a lucrative year. Here's Susan with some ideas. You know Jeff when you consider the cost of increasing your market share through an appealing internet site, it really isn't much. Personal web pages can be designed anywhere from $250-$2000 dollars, the cost of a yearling or one breeding fee that could open the door for many to follow. Naturally there are nominal expenses to host the site and an hourly fee to make changes and updates yet a good web page can be tied to all aspects of your marketing, even serve as a flyer or displayed in print ads. The home page typically features a farm profile and biography then links to a wealth of information on pedigrees, broodmares, stallions and trainers. I would start by visiting a variety of breeder's personal pages, and even those outside my particular discipline to research innovative ideas.
