John Anderson, wife Caroline and their four young children are all part of a thriving dairy operation near Jerome.
JOHN "It's a normal dairy operation but on a little larger scale than most people are used to. As far as cows milked at a single location it's the biggest in the country as far as I am aware of. We milk about 12 thousand cows and employ about 140 people. We're shipping on a dairy basis about 900 thousand pounds of milk."
CAROLINE "My main job is being a mother of four. I'm kind of the taxi, taking care of things, doing the laundry."
The Andersons look forward to their future in agriculture and the need for Farm Bureau.
JOHN "Just having a voice on some of the issues that affect us on a regular basis. Right now one of the main issues that I'm concerned with is immigration and what's going on with that right now. That's an issue for me that I lose sleep over at night worrying about because I think its going to affect us on a grand scale."
CAROLINE "Young people need to know that they will have a good career in farming and agriculture."
John and Caroline Anderson, Farm Bureau outstanding Young Farmers and Ranchers growing Idaho's future.
