Happy New Year and welcome to Vine to Wine, this is your host Linda Moran. There seems to have been no end to the celebrating this year. But the 2007 holidays are for the most part behind us and now we are focused on our New Year's resolutions. Today I want to suggest a few wine resolutions for our listeners.
Okay so let's for a few moments abandon the usual New Year's resolutions and think about our wine resolutions. I of course would like to make a few suggestions in that realm. How about resolving to attend at least two or three wine classes and learn something new about wine? Or maybe get rid of those funky clunky wine glasses and invest in a set of wine glasses that are a step up maybe even a set for white wine and a set for red wine. Treat yourself. Just try resolving to taste some new wines and break away from drinking the same thing all of the time. Try a new wine or taste the same type of wine made by several different producers. Share more times just sitting around the dinner table talking and laughing with friends. Resolve to splurge on a nicer bottle of wine at least twice a month. Come on you are worth it. Start making plans with your pals now to visit wine country. Go wine tasting in the spring when many of the new releases are unveiled. Resolutions don't have to be painful. I say they can even be fun. So make a few wine resolutions and actually enjoy your 2008. Remember to send your wine questions to Linda at vine to wine dot net and thanks for joining me on today's Vine to Wine.
