02/21/07 Washington Wine Country pt 3

Welcome to Vine to Wine, this is your host Linda Moran and today we are continuing our series about Washington Wine Country. First of all, my apologies to everyone who has been listening to this program for years. Every Spring I just cannot help myself, I have to remind you Spring is just around the corner and it is a perfect time to visit Washington Wine Country. You see lots is going on. The vineyards will be budding soon and the new vineyards will be going in and don't forget all of the Spring wine tasting events that go on everywhere from Chelan to Walla Walla and Yakima Valley in between. In fact, if you come across highway two and start at the top you can visit some of the newest Washington wineries and wine regions. There are several very good websites to help you navigate your way, of course there is the Washington Wine Commission site and Wine Country Washington site which will also offer you suggestions for where to stay and eat. You can simply google the area you are visiting and find wineries or contact the visitors bureaus. Look at the events calendars on the sites and see if you be able to make one of the special wine tastings or parties happening during the Spring season. Most of all have fun!
