Year-Round E15 Continues to Be Top Priority for AFBF, POTUS Expand Meat Processing

Year-round E15 sales have been a years-long legislative battle, and the House recently passed a standalone bill that would unlock year-round E15 and reduce regulatory barriers, giving consumers a more affordable option at the pump, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation. “We were hoping for some more momentum in the Senate, and Majority Leader Thune has been a great partner in unlocking year-round E15, and so he was negotiating with his members who weren't necessarily on board with the notion of year-round E15, who have some small refiners in their state, that they of course have to listen to and they have to take into consideration. But we think the Senate's in a really good spot with the text that they released. We're really supportive of getting E 15 across the finish line, and it seems like a viable option. “

Knight says that a conferencing session is planned, bringing together committees of jurisdiction and legislatures to work towards a final agreement.
