Summertime is a busy and stressful time for farmers and ranchers. You have spring field work, planting, fencing, branding, turnout, fertilizing, spraying, haying season... all of which are determined by the weather which you have no control over. People are working long days, trying to get the jobs done. Then before you know it, it's time for harvest. The goal with this BBQ was to show appreciation for all these folks in the agricultural fields, and to let them know we see them and appreciate them. Farmers and ranchers feed the world, so we wanted to take a second to support and feed them! We also wanted to thank & feed all those who support the Ag industry, from mechanics that keep everything running, to field guys, hay crews, parts runners, truck drivers, etc. They all play an important part!

This was a great way for our local board to give back to those in our community who are in these agricultural fields.

We weren't sure what to expect for a turnout, since everyone was right in the middle of hay season, but we still ended up serving about 150 burgers. We were happy so see that great of a turnout!
