Guiding the Next Chapter in Dairy
Here’s a quick update from California’s dairy community with two new faces stepping into leadership.
The Dairy Council of California has announced new members on its Board of Directors, Melanie Youkhana and Luis Gutierrez. Both attended their first board meeting this month, bringing fresh perspective to the organization’s mission of promoting healthy eating through dairy.
Chief Executive Officer Amy DeLisio says the council benefits from leaders who understand both the dairy industry and changing nutrition needs. She adds, “Melanie and Luis bring valuable industry perspective that will help guide our efforts.”
Youkhana, chief financial officer at Valley Milk in Turlock, grew up on a family dairy farm and now brings financial expertise and a passion for community building.
Gutierrez represents Karoun Dairies and has more than 30 years of experience in food and beverage, including leadership in sales and market development.
Both will fill existing vacancies, with the option to pursue full three year terms.
