E15 is a Win-Win

American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall says permanent year-round E15 would benefit everyone, not just farmers …
DUVALL … “Drivers are facing four dollars per gallon, or even more, at the gas pumps. But there is a way to bring down prices and help the farm economy at the same time. Year-round E15 is a true win-win for America.”
That, Duvall says only makes sense given the current financial crisis farmers are facing …
DUVALL … “Right now, ethanol blended fuels are only available seasonally. Year-round access would increase demand for corn by almost 50 percent, creating expanded markets for America’s farmers. And drivers would save up to 30 cents per gallon.”
So, Duvall says it’s time for lawmakers to stop delaying and take the next step …
DUVALL … “We appreciate the EPA for granting a temporary waiver to allow E15 to be sold this summer. But now is the time for Congress to take the next step and make the availability of E15 blended fuels permanent. Drivers and farmers deserve solutions that benefit everyone.”
