Vintage Tractors Roll Into Georgia Ag Week Celebration
It’s National Agriculture Week across the country, a time to recognize the farmers and producers who keep food on our tables and rural economies strong. In Georgia, the celebration is already underway with a nod to both history and progress. On Tuesday, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper joined the Georgia Department of Agriculture and Georgia Grown to kick off Georgia Ag Week with an antique tractor display outside the State Capitol on Mitchell Street. The lineup of vintage equipment served as a reminder of agriculture’s deep roots and its continued impact today.
The event also highlighted agriculture’s role as a leading industry, not only in Georgia but across neighboring states where farming remains central to local economies and communities.
Commissioner Harper said, “There is a Georgia farmer behind every commodity, and we are thrilled to celebrate our state’s #1 industry and the farm families who fuel its success during Georgia Ag Week.”
As National Agriculture Week continues, it is a chance to recognize the people and traditions that keep agriculture moving forward across the region.
