Bloomberg reports Senate Republicans are feeling rising pressure from farmers for a bailout to offset quickly rising fuel and fertilizer prices.

**Leaders from the agriculture, manufacturing, and technology sectors met in Washington to highlight the importance of renewing the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement as it approaches the formal review period.

The discussion was co-hosted by the National Corn Growers Association and the National Foreign Trade Council.

Speakers from the agriculture and manufacturing sectors pointed out the agreement has strengthened North American trade and created greater certainty for businesses across many sectors.

**U.S. and Chinese economic officials held what were called “remarkably stable” talks in Paris last weekend.

But the Associated Press says President Trump might delay his visit to China to increase the pressure on Beijing to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
