**President Trump recently signed an order to implement a trade agreement with Japan that is expected to increase U.S. ag sales by $8 billion a year.

Over the past five years, Japan has bought on average just under $12.9 billion in U.S. farm goods annually.

Those investments will be chosen by the U.S. government and are expected to "generate hundreds of thousands of U.S. jobs, expand domestic manufacturing, and secure American prosperity for generations."

**Good news for U.S. dairy as exports surged higher in June, reaching 18.7% of domestic milk solids production, the highest since 2022.

Meanwhile, stocks of major dairy products held steady from May to June.

U.S. fluid milk sales rose 0.5% from a year earlier, while domestic yogurt consumption jumped 12.2%.

Overall, domestic commercial use of milk solids in all dairy products increased by 3% year-over-year.

**The USDA extended the public comment period for its reorganization plan to September 30.

Politico says that doubles the time provided for input on an initiative that has drawn criticism from both Democrats and Republicans since it was unveiled.

The agency originally released the plan for public comment on July 24 for a period of 30 days.

USDA says the additional comment period is to ensure everyone who wants to submit feedback can.
