Rural Home Ownership

Home ownership feels unattainable to many due to high real estate prices and interest rates. Meanwhile, in farm country it can be difficult to find new people to move into the area. The Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program is designed to partner with private lenders to offer home ownership opportunities in rural America. Here is Rural Development’s Ingrid Ripley.

Ripley… “ Our guaranteed loan program is a hundred percent financing loan program for rural areas, and it's specifically designated to rural areas as characteristics of the rural program. We have a great relationship. It's one of the best PPP programs, meaning public private partnership, between the lenders, ourselves. They are our boots on the ground, per se. They are market our program. They actually originate the loans. They service those loans. All we do is guarantee those loans. So we're very appreciative of the work that they do for our rural community. It means a lot to us because they're the ones who are making the home opportunities for our rural communities, for those borrowers.
