09/26/06 New EPA Air Standard

EPA releases new air standards. I'm Greg Martin with today's Line On Agriculture. Last week the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the strongest national air quality standards in the country`s history. The new standard addresses fine and coarse particle pollution, also known as particulate matter. SCHOLL: Jon Scholl is the EPA's Counselor to the Administrator for Agricultural Policy. SCHOLL: According to Scholl, the EPA's new standard will not impact agriculture. SCHOLL: The new EPA standard is scheduled to go into effect immediately but Scholl explains.
