EPA releases new air standards. I'm Greg Martin with today's Line On Agriculture.
Last week the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the strongest national air quality standards in the country`s history. The new standard addresses fine and coarse particle pollution, also known as particulate matter.
SCHOLL:
Jon Scholl is the EPA's Counselor to the Administrator for Agricultural Policy.
SCHOLL:
According to Scholl, the EPA's new standard will not impact agriculture.
SCHOLL:
The new EPA standard is scheduled to go into effect immediately but Scholl explains.
