Florida Orange Forecast and Tariff Relief Package Discussed

**The forecast for all U.S. oranges for the 2024-25 season is 2.46 million tons, up 2% from the previous forecast but down 8% from last year.
The Florida all orange forecast, at 11.6 million boxes, are down 36% from last season.
Early, midseason, and Navel varieties are unchanged from the previous forecast but down 32% from last year.
Florida Valencia’s, at 7 million boxes, are down 38% from last year.
**The Congressional Coffee Caucus is causing quite a BUZZ in the nation’s capital.
Representatives Jill Tokuda (toe-KOO-dah), of Hawaii, and
William Timmons, of South Carolina, launched the Caucus with the goal of working together to highlight coffee’s positive impact on the U.S. economy and help strengthen the resilience of the crop’s global supply chain.
Tokuda says coffee supports millions of farmers, businesses, and communities across the country and around the world.
**The White House and congressional lawmakers have begun discussing a tariff relief package to deal with the potential economic repercussions.
Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins told Fortune, we’re setting up the infrastructure that if, in fact, we have some short-term economic consequences for our farmers and ranchers, we’ll have programs in place to help.
She told CNN the administration will be prepared in case of ‘longer-term damage’ by lining up funds with lawmakers.
