Drew Showalter corn portfolio head for Syngenta seeds North America says that they have a new product coming online.

“ Yeah, so we are very excited to talk about dura stack, which recently received cultivation approval for EPA, which is a huge milestone for us to keep moving it through our pre commercial pipeline. Duras is syngentas, latest corn trait that will help growers better manage corn rootworm, which is really challenging pest for growers throughout the Corn Belt, it's going to deliver more corn rootworm protection, which is going to lead to more roots and and at the end of the day, what's most important for farmers more yield potential.”

Walter explains that Durasak is in the pre-commercial phase.

“ It is in our last year of pre commercial testing. It will be widely available for farmers in 2027 however, we'll have some introductory quantities in 2026 in our commercial plots, and we'll have some some small quantities out on farm.”

In addition to corn rootworm, he says that Durastack targets other pests.
