January Food Price Index Higher and AARP Supports AM Radio Act
From the Ag Information Network, this is your Agribusiness Update.**The Food Price Index increased 0.4% in January.
The food at home index rose 0.5% over the month as four of the six major grocery store food groups increased.
The indexes for meats, poultry, fish, and eggs rose 1.9% over the month, as the index for eggs led the way rising 15.2%.
It was the largest increase since 2015 accounting for about two-thirds of the total monthly food-at-home increase.
