BioSolutions Expo and Tractor Sales Down

The 3-day Expo is celebrating its 10th year as the premier event for advancing biological solutions and the tools to support them in floriculture and specialty crops.
This year’s event featured a lineup of renowned speakers, tours, workshops, invaluable networking opportunities, and an expo hall showcasing cutting-edge technologies to enhance crop protection, plant health, and farm sustainability.
**According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors during
January, in the U.S. were down 16% from the same month last year, with 9,143 tractors sold compared to 10,860 in 2024.
Sales of 2-wheel drive tractors were down 27%, while 4-wheel drive were down 55%.
Combine sales in January totaled 97 down 79%.
**On February 7, Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller announced reports of unsolicited seed packages arriving across Texas from Chinese vendors.
The Texas Department of Agriculture is working to safely collect these packages and get them delivered to the USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.
One Texan reported ordering a dog toy from the Chinese vendor TEMU, only to receive a package of seeds instead.
APHIS identified the seeds in one of the packages as Sacred Lotus, an invasive aquatic plant.
