Save Family Farming's Urban Advisory Team Pt 2
From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson. Save Family Farming’s Urban Advisory Team is being set up to help determine what messages need to be delivered to our urban/suburban non-farming voters and how to best deliver them.Executive Director, Ben Tindall says they’re looking for folks from that demographic to use as a soundboard …
TINDALL … “We reestablished or kind of put a face-lift on our website. How does that impact you? Hey, here’s a news story that we’re going to be promoting out. How do you want to be communicated with? How do you receive your news? Is it through traditional media or is it now a podcast or all on your phone, or how?”
Tindall says they’ve got a good group now but could use more team members …
TINDALL … “We have currently about nine. I’d love to see it grow to, you now, 12 to 15 individuals that, really, we can send a periodic survey or ask a question, and kind of creating this really a sound board kind of a group that we can bounce ideas off of, send some material to, and get some feedback.”
Instead, Tindall says of just guessing what might be effective …
TINDALL … “It’s one of those things where we want to not just throw arrows at a thing but really hit the target and make sure we’re not just, you know, blindly tossing things at a wall and seeing what sticks. But let’s hit that bullseye, and that’s what we’re aiming for.”
