**The National FFA is reminding members of the upcoming National FFA Week, February 15 - 22.

This marks the first year that more than a million FFA members, as well as alumni, advisors and supporters across the country, will be celebrating this event.

This week-long celebration gives members, alumni and other supporters a chance to come together with the goal of sharing FFA’s value and impact from their own hometown.

**National Farmers Union announced support of the American Beef Labeling Act.

This legislation codifies mandatory country-of-origin labeling for beef sold in the U.S., distinguishing American-produced products in grocery stores.

They urge additional cosponsors to endorse the bill and support its swift passage.

NFU President Rob Larew says America’s family farmers and ranchers produce the best ag products in the world, and consumers have the right to know where their products come from.

**U.S. farmers retained their post-election optimism in the new year as the January Purdue University-CME Group Ag Economy Barometer Index rose 5 points from December’s reading of 141.

The barometer's rise was primarily attributable to a 9-point rise in the Current Conditions Index, while the Future Expectations Index rose just 3 points.

Compared to recent surveys, fewer producers pointed to lower crop and livestock prices as a top concern.
