US Soybean Meal Offers Big Advantages

The US Soybean Export Council works to promote US soybean exports to other countries with their unique soy innovations center. USEC. Chief Executive Officer Jim Sutter explains what this center is.

“The other thing we're doing is training sessions. In China, we have something called the soy Innovation Center, where we are training people in the latest ideas about all kinds of things, with feeding livestock, with the way we grow our crops, to make sure that we're able to maintain market access. We're doing this in many places around the world in a slightly different way, called the soy excellence centers, where we're training people who are at the early stages of their careers, trying to make sure they understand how to properly formulate feeds, how to feed chickens, how to feed other livestock, because we believe if we do that, it'll teach them how to understand the benefits of US soy, and it will also build this long term relationship with us soy.”

What are the benefits of us soybean meal?

“We have superior amino acid profile, superior energy content and consistency, and low damage. So all of those things really help make sure that somebody who's using the meal from us soybeans is getting better nutrition for their animals, whatever type of animal they're feeding with the meal.”
