As most know by now, President Elect Donald Trump has nominated Brooke Rollins, president and chief executive officer of the America First policy institute, as the 33rd US Secretary of Agriculture. Rollins served in Trump's previous administration as acting director of Domestic Policy Council and oversaw the White House of American innovation. She details her background.

“Called Glen Rose, Texas. It's a population of 1200 people. I had 29 people in my graduating class from my public high school. I left in 1990 to attend Texas A and M University on an agriculture scholarship thanks to the Future Farmers of America. And you know, it never occurred to me that I couldn't someday be in the White House. I have moved to the White House to run the office of American innovation, and I'm an assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives, working on pretty much everything domestic policy.”

With a recent appearance on the Charlie Kirk show, Rollins is excited for the new administration to take over.

Im not sure that we would, we would’ve dreamt for a moment like this. I'm not sure that either one of us could have ever hoped for this sort of Team of Rivals, of game changers, of trends, formational figures, all coming together to meet the moment, to live in this miracle that we find ourselves in. But now the most important part the opportunity to really govern and take our country back is is remarkable. We're living in the middle of history.

Rollins now awaits congressional approval.
