Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran with all of the buzz in the air about the upcoming harvest a friend asked me Why drink wine?
I'm sure that every wine lover has their own personal reasons. Perhaps it was the first time they realized the pleasure and relaxation derived from a nice glass of wine. Perhaps the way it makes any lunch or dinner a more special event. And there's the added benefit of wine making food taste better. Some say it opens up the taste buds on your palate. It has a way of making a plain ordinary dinner more exciting more fun or more relaxed and romantic. To me sharing good wine and conversation with friends is unparalleled in life's memories. Wine also has a history; it is an amazing beverage that has fascinated and even obsessed people throughout the world. It is civilized and respected in most all nations, and like any other art the more you know about it the more you enjoy it. More and more people have come to realize that wine is a civilized beverage. For several years now we've been hearing that in this fitness crazed society of ours a little bit of wine may actually be good for us. Another great thing about wine is that everyone is right! There are no wrong answers in wine. It is entirely up to you to decide where your preferences are. There are so many pleasant and life enhancing reasons to drink wine moderately. But most of us drink wine because it enhances our lives, it's a beverage that relaxes and soothes us and gives us pleasures and memories to share. At least that is what I think. And thanks for joining us on today's Vine to Wine.
