Annual Report Shows Value of US Wheat

“So, every year, with the help of USDA funds, US wheat publishes the crop quality report, which is compiled from sample testing and analysis that's conducted during and after harvest by our partner labs. It provides essential information to help our buyers get the wheat they need and to stay updated on the current status of the crop. So once that report is completed, US wheat then shares the data with customers at a series of in-person and sometimes virtual crop quality seminars around the world.”
And, market analyst Tyllor Ledford weighs in on the specifics of what they discuss and how the crop quality reports are tailored for each region that they target.
“Policy and tariff related issues such as the tariff structure and the EU other tariff structures and competitors that erode the competitiveness of us wheat. And then we also talk a lot about sustainability. One of our team members presented on a new study that we just had done last year on the wheat life cycle. So it talks about wheat carbon footprint information.”
Which, Ledford says is important for customers working on their own sustainability goals.
