Searching for a New Swath of Ag Leaders
The Southern region's Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SSARE) program is excited to announce nominations for its 2025 Sustainable Agriculture Leadership Program! If you're passionate about building resilient and thriving farming communities, this is your chance to get involved. Applications are open until January 10, 2025.Run by SSARE's Equity and Prosperity Committee, this program celebrates the leadership of mentor farmers, ranchers, community groups, and non-profits who are tackling key agricultural challenges. Whether it’s improving access to land, harnessing new technologies, or supporting family and community well-being, these leaders are shaping the future of sustainable agriculture.
With sponsorship funds of up to $3,000, the program provides resources to support educational and training activities across the Southern region. It’s not a grant but an opportunity to invest in the leadership that keeps agriculture strong and sustainable.
SSARE is especially focused on uplifting historically underserved farmers, ranchers, and organizations that serve these communities. If you or someone you know is making a difference in agriculture, this is your chance to help them shine.
For more information or to nominate a leader, visit the SSARE website before January 10, 2025.
