WSTFA 120th Annual Meeting Pt 2
From the Ag Information Network, this is today’s Fruit Grower Report. The 120th WSTFA Annual Meeting Hort Show is coming up December 9-10-11 in Yakima, intended for WSTFA members and everyone in the tree fruit industry.
This year’s meeting Chair, Jeff Baldwin says there will be a lot of great information and meetings for attendees …
BALDWIN-7 = 15 … “So, Ray Starling is delivering the keynote address this year. That will be in the afternoon, tentatively 3pm on Monday. Ray is a very engaging and passionate individual about all of agriculture.”
And the topic? …
BALDWIN-8 = 17 … “What I challenged him with was, show us a industry that has struggled like we’re struggling and has come out of it on the other side and been profitable again. Because I think that’s probably the biggest question everyone is asking is, when will this be profitable again?”
So, Baldwin says if you haven’t made plans to attend, it’s time …
BALDWIN-17 = 18 … “Yes, please do. It’s at the Yakima Convention Center, downtown Yakima, and we’re bringing a lot to the table this year. We’ve got strong sessions Monday, with more of a sales focus in the morning. Afternoon is going to be a deep dive into the numbers so growers get incites into what’s really happening with their fruit.”
