From the Ag Information Network, this is your Agribusiness Update.

**The USDA announced the deadline for commodity and specialty crop producers to apply for the Emergency Relief Program for 2022 natural disaster losses is August 14th.

FSA Administrator Zach Ducheneaux says if natural disasters impacted your farm or ranch in 2022, there’s still time to submit your application.

Ducheneaux says gather your documents and contact your local office to complete the process.

**The National Corn Growers Association joined five other commodity groups in a letter to Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo on possible herbicide tariffs.

The groups are asking her to consider the impacts on farmers as she reviews a petition by ag chemical company Corteva that would put duties on imports of the herbicide 2,4-D.

The letter says American farmers cannot rely solely on Corteva, the only domestic supplier of 2,4-D, when there’s not enough to meet demand.

**The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association is looking for the next singing sensation to perform the National Anthem at February’s CattleCon 2025 in San Antonio.

The NCBA National Anthem Contest is accepting entries through October 15 at www.convention.ncba.org.

The winner will receive round-trip airfare to San Antonio, three-night hotel stay, plus a pair of boots, jeans, and shirt from Roper or Stetson.

Any member of the NCBA, American National CattleWomen, the Cattlemen’s Beef Board, or family members are eligible.
